Ready to take on the world, YCH employees were treated to a night of exciting performances and cultural awakening at our annual D&D themed “One Night of Global Domination”. It was held on 23 January 2016 at the Pan Pacific Hotel. YCH employees turned up in their finest, donning colourful ethnic costumes of different cultures.

The grand evening began with an exhilarating opening performance by our very own YCHees from different departments. The entertaining evening continued with a performance from Dr Robert Yap’s daughter, Rocio Yap, as she took centrestage with her dance team, the Glamourettes. Topping off the evening was a special Taiji performance from the management team, led by Sisters Catherine and Janet Yap. Their shifu, Mr Soo too put up impressive Taiji Sword demonstration.

Next was awards presentation time. We began with the Long Service Awards, which recognises employees for their loyal commitment to YCH. A total of 47 employees received long service awards.

The Regional RISE Awards were given out next. These were given out to employee who best exemplified the RISE values of Reliability, Integrity, Sincerity and Enterprise.

The night rounded up with a lucky draw. Some of the top prizes included the iPhone 6s Plus (64GB), Surface Pro 3 128GB i5 and GoPro HERO – these high tech gadgets reflected the innovation focus of YCH Group. The winners of the prizes were extremely happy to lug their new goodies home.

All in all it was a very enjoyable night. Everyone had a great time! We look forward to next year’s D&D, wondering what next year’s theme will be.
