Dear YCHees,
It has been one year since I joined YCH Group as CEO, and what an eventful year it has been!
We secured new contracts across the region in the core verticals of Consumer, Chemicals and Electronics sector. We also extended our reach in the new e-commerce and cold chain industry through critical new contracts in Asia Pacific. Though we can anticipate a slowdown in our sector as a result of the global economic climate, the good news is, these new contracts will see us through this difficult year ahead.
YCH was recognized by industry experts in many areas throughout this year as well. We began the year by being awarded the Asian 3PL of the Year by the Supply Chain Asia Awards 2015 and ended it receiving a Champion Award from Tuas Power AMR Solution. Our partners also provided us with recognition. World Wide Technology gave us the Excellent Partner Award, while Dell Inc’s Global Service Partners awarded us the Best Global Configuration Services Partner of the Year 2015. As we continue to look at expansion possibilities in the region, our partnership strategy will enable us to obtain insights on the local business climate, allowing us to efficiently connect supply chains to demand flows.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank each and every one of you for standing by YCH Group through fair weather and challenging times alike. We have been able to enjoy continued success due our collective effort. I firmly believe that people form the heartbeat of the YCH organisation. This is why we will continue to place an emphasis on talent development, continuous learning and skills upgrading.
So what can we look forward to in the year ahead? In the second half of the year, we will move into our new premises at Supply Chain City. I am very excited about this. Blazing the trail for the future of Supply Chain in Asia, the state-of-the-art supply chain nerve centre in Jurong will feature a world-pioneering fusion of ASRS and ramp-up integrated solution with modern office amenities to cater to a knowledge ecosystem of supply chain talents.
As we go into 2016, I believe it is a good time to take an introspective look at how YCH Group can do better and leverage on the opportunities present within the current market landscape. We have started to look at streamlining our processes to increase our productivity and cost efficiency. We will also continue to impart industry best practices and technology to scale and grow the local and regional SCM industry.
Once again, we would not have been able to come this far without the dedication of the YCH family. With continued focus, let us all do our best and together, help YCH ride the wave to a brand new peak!
