YCH revs up automotive portfolio and offerings in Korea

YCH REVS UP AUTOMOTIVE PORTFOLIO & OFFERINGS IN KOREA

YCH charges ahead on The Logistics SuperhighwayTM, making inroads into the automotive sector and celebrating the official opening of its latest YCH DistriCentre in Gimpo, Korea.

Gimpo, South Korea, September 17th, 2014 - YCH Group, Asia Pacific's leading integrated end-to-end supply chain management and logistics partner, today celebrated the official opening of its YCH DistriCentre in Gimpo, Korea. The warehouse facility in the Yangchon industrial zone was primarily established to service automotive parts management and logistics for Volvo, the Swedish carmaker reputed for its superb quality and craftsmanship. The DistriCentre also serves as a hub for other customers across a diverse representation of industry sectors including Kodak and its distributors, Carestream, Alstom, Alcatel Lucent and JS Medical.

The opening ceremony was graced by Singapore's Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, His Excellency Mr. Peter Tan, and attended by various customers and partners. Ambassador Peter Tan congratulated YCH and said, "I am proud to be a part of the celebrations in YCH's official opening of its Gimpo DistriCentre today. As Singapore's home-grown leader in the logistic sector, the YCH Group is yet another shining example of how Singapore companies are contributing to the progress of Korean industries and economy. Apart from offering end-to-end supply chain as well as global freight and forwarding solutions, the Gimpo DistriCentre specializes in various returns logistics, after-sales and LOgistics Value-Added (LOVATM) services, such as the raw materials kitting, management of scrap materials, as well as automotive parts certification. Kodak Korea, a Digital Printing technology company focused on imaging solutions for Graphic business, is also a key customer at the YCH Gimpo DistriCentre, where a special section has been designed to provide constant temperature control for the storage of various types of Kodak Film and Plates products used by Korea's major newspapers, publishing companies and general commercial print-shops. �Ms. An Shinhee, Operations Manager of Kodak J&K said, "We are delighted to participate in the official launch ceremony of YCH's Gimpo DistriCentre today. Offering both bonded and non-bonded facilities with temperature control, YCH Korea is also ISO-certified, a member of IATA (International Air Transport Association) and a winner of the 'Best Sample Case' at the World Customs Organization Global AEO conference in 2012. The Authorized Economy Operator (AEO) certification is an accreditation that emphasizes excellent supply chain security, and is equivalent to the C-TPAT used in US and other regions.
