YCH was invited to speak at AIMX Singapore 2025, a global platform that brings together innovators, researchers, industry practitioners, and policymakers in the field of Artificial Intelligence (“AI”).
The forum provides a space for cross-sector dialogue on how AI is reshaping industries, with discussions focused on the role of AI in improving operational efficiency, innovation, and sustainable development – topics of growing relevance where the ability to react and respond quickly to change is increasingly becoming a defining capability that distinguishes leaders from their peers.
At AIMX Singapore 2025, Sunil represented YCH. He was joined by panellists from A*STAR, Singapore’s leading public sector agency for mission-oriented research, and Geopost, a global parcel delivery and e-commerce logistics player. The panel explored how different sectors in Asia Pacific are engaging with AI to augment existing technologies and well-established processes, and improve business resilience in an era of risk turbulence and broader disruptions.
During the session, Sunil shared how YCH has been using AI to improve performance and long-term resilience.
He highlighted both the opportunities and challenges associated with implementing AI at scale, directing attention to the need to manage workforce readiness, ensure personal data protection, and responsible governance – maintaining security and compliance – as organisations become increasingly reliant on technology for decision-making.
He emphasised that realising the full benefits of AI depends not only on technology, but also on equipping employees with the skills to work alongside AI and helping them adapt to new ways of working.
Sunil also underscored that AI adoption does not equate to replacing people. Instead, its effective use depends on recognising the nuanced and context-dependent nature of human behaviour, where human judgement, experience, and ethical considerations remain critical complements to technology.
Sunil also provided practical insights into how AI has been integrated at Vietnam SuperPort, where AI-enabled systems have been deployed at the newly operational Off-Airport Cargo Terminal (“OACT”) to streamline customs clearance and cargo scanning processes to improve accuracy. These systems automate routine and repetitive tasks, reducing reliance on manual labour, and significantly shortening processing times. By freeing up manpower from mundane activities, teams will be able to focus on complex operational issues, contributing to faster, more efficient cargo flows.
All panellists highlighted that many organisations are already recognising the transformative potential of AI and other emerging technologies to optimise supply chain activities, enhance decision-making, and strengthen operational resilience. YCH has been proactively adapting to these shifts by leveraging AI to augment existing human expertise.
