Singapore, 27th November 2025 — YCH Group celebrated the official opening of the YCH New DistriPark at Tuas, a state-of-the-art logistics facility setting new benchmarks in sustainability and smart infrastructure. The opening also marked a significant milestone with the unveiling of the company’s inaugural Sustainability Report, reaffirming YCH’s long-term commitment to sustainable growth, innovation, and responsible business practices.

The New DistriPark at Tuas represents a breakthrough in YCH’s efforts to reimagine logistics facilities for a low-carbon future. The facility has achieved LEED Platinum certification, a global recognition of excellence in green building design, and is powered by a 2.4 MWp solar installation that generates more electricity than it consumes.
In a bold approach to sustainable construction, YCH retained and repurposed an existing 17,000-square-metre, four-storey building instead of demolishing it. This adaptive reuse strategy, converting the structure into a modern logistics facility with new loading bays and ramp systems, avoided approximately 3,000 tonnes of embodied carbon emissions, demonstrating that industrial innovation and environmental stewardship can go hand in hand.
Designed as a smart, technology-enabled logistics hub, the New DistriPark maximises operational efficiency while minimising environmental impact. The facility is equipped with advanced automation systems that streamline workflows and reduce manual handling, enhancing both productivity and worker safety. The facility will feature a fully automated high-density 4-way shuttle Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), optimising previously underutilised spaces, increasing storage efficiency, and reducing manual transfers. With a capacity of up to 15,000 pallets, the ASRS showcases the advanced automation capabilities pioneered at YCH’s flagship Supply Chain City, delivering smarter, safer, and more sustainable supply chain operations.
Advanced digital systems further underpin the facility, including AI-driven security, safety monitoring, and personnel management. YCH has also partnered with Signify to deploy an intelligent lighting system, combining solar-powered perimeter lighting and occupancy sensors that activate only when needed. Inside, ergonomic offices with adaptive lighting, adjustable desks, and collaborative meeting spaces reflect YCH’s priority of employee wellbeing and workplace innovation. Sustainability features extend to operations, with solar-powered EV chargers for trucks and staff vehicles, rainwater harvesting for non-potable uses, and insulated architectural panels that reduce heat gain and UV exposure while maintaining comfort and improving energy efficiency.

The launch of YCH Group’s inaugural Sustainability Report further reinforces the company’s mission to drive sustainable development across its operations and ecosystem. The report outlines Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) priorities, performance metrics, and a roadmap for the coming years, including plans to further reduce emissions intensity and enhance energy resilience across its regional network.
Dr Robert Yap, Executive Chairman of YCH Group, said, “The completion of the YCH New DistriPark at Tuas and the launch of our first Sustainability Report mark a defining moment for us. The decision to repurpose an existing facility reflects our pragmatic approach to sustainability, one that balances innovation with responsibility.
“We are publishing this inaugural Sustainability Report of our own volition, not because of any regulatory mandate. We firmly believe that the stewardship of the environment and the long-term future of logistics are core responsibilities we must embrace. Our commitment aligns perfectly with the values of our customers and partners who are also dedicated to this path, and we are proud to proactively fulfil our essential role in this shared journey. Through our inaugural Sustainability Report, we aim to show transparency, accountability, and a clear sense of responsibility for the impact we create. We believe in growth through collaboration and sustainable transformation.”
The event was attended by Mr Desmond Tan, Senior Minister of State and Deputy Secretary-General of the National Trade Union Congress (NTUC) as Guest-of-Honour, alongside key partners, customers, and representatives from Singapore’s logistics and sustainability communities. Guests were introduced to the facility’s cutting-edge technologies and sustainable design features, and attended a presentation on YCH’s inaugural Sustainability Report, which highlighted the company’s green transition progress and strategy towards advancing sustainable supply chain practices across the region.
As a SkillsFuture Queen Bee for the supply chain and logistics sector, YCH Group continues to champion capability building and workforce transformation across its ecosystem. In collaboration with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and NTUC through the Company Training Committee (CTC) initiative, YCH is delivering sustainability-focused training programmes that equip companies and workers with the knowledge and tools to embed sustainable practices into their operations. This ongoing initiative reflects YCH Group’s mission to empower people and enterprises to innovate, adapt, and thrive in a rapidly evolving logistics landscape.
The YCH New DistriPark at Tuas stands as a cornerstone of YCH’s vision to build smarter, greener supply chains for the future. Together with the launch of the inaugural Sustainability Report, the event reaffirms the Group’s enduring commitment to responsible growth — one that harmonises innovation, resilience, and sustainability to shape the logistics industry of tomorrow.
