The first agreement is to co-develop a Sino-Singapore Modern Logistics and Supply Chain Training Base, inked between Dr Robert Yap, Executive Chairman of YCH Group, Mr Wang Qiang, a member of CCI leadership team, and Mr Lai Yuan Ming, Principal of Chongqing Jiaotong University. The training base aims to serve the following purposes.

• To draw on YCH Group’s breadth of experience and extensive network of supply chain and logistics to co-develop curriculum.
  
  
• To proliferate YCH Group’s EduRise™ Programme through Supply Chain and Logistics Academy (SCALA), a programme partner of Workforce Singapore and YCH Group to provide Experiential Workplace Learning^TM  to develop future supply chain and logistics talents.
  
  
• To serve as a research centre for the CCI-New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor which connects Western China and ASEAN, to focus on resolving issues and pilot initiatives in newer areas such as trade digitalisation and green development.

The second agreement was signed by YCH Group’s technology arm, Y3 Technologies, an award-winning provider of supply chain and logistics software solutions, and Chongqing Union Flight Technologies Co., a developer of IoT solutions and software in the field of smart transportation and smart logistics. Mr Yap Chih Nam, Assistant General Manager of Y3, and Mr Huang He, General Manager of Chongqing Union Flight Technologies Co, signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

The scope of collaboration between the two parties will cover the following.

• Joint research and development of AI intelligent algorithms and machine models based on various industry application business fields to reduce costs and increase efficiency in the industry.

• Co-create logistics and supply chain solutions to promote sustainable development and improve industry operational efficiency and traceability.

• Collaborate on architecture and business system development in various big data areas.

YCH Group entered Chongqing in 2016 to support and contribute to the CCI’s mission of fostering connectivity between China and Singapore. YCH Group then signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chongqing Banan District Government, Chongqing ASEAN International Logistics, and Y3 Technologies to develop Chongqing as ASEAN’s Logistics centre in China, connecting to ASEAN.

Developments to extend YCH Group’s presence in Chongqing have been consistent, with major initiatives launched throughout the years.

• 2022 – YCH Group signed an MOU with Chongqing Jiangjin Comprehensive Bonded Zone (CJCBZ) in the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity to promote the development of a multimodal transportation infrastructure.
  
  
• 2021 – YCH Group signed an MOU with the People’s Government of Chongqing Tongliang District to improve China’s cold chain logistics capabilities while strengthening Chongqing’s position as a vital hub for western China and ASEAN connectivity.
  
  
• 2020 – YCH Group signed an MoU with Xuan Tian Hu Tourism Investment Co., a Chongqing government-owned enterprise, to co-develop a cold chain infrastructure project in Tongliang.
  
  
• 2018 – YCH Group celebrated the first successful completion of the China-ASEAN Regular Shuttle Service, travelling through the Guangxi PingXiang Friendship Pass to Vietnam and Thailand to Singapore, covering over 4,500 km.
