On 26 May 2016, Supply Chain City™ was conferred the Building and Construction Authority’s (BCA) Green Mark Platinum Award at the annual BCA Awards 2016. The Awards honours and pays tribute to displays of excellence in built environments in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, sustainability and user-friendliness. 

Sustainable landscaping and community-centric elements have been incorporated into the design of Supply Chain City™ in a “Work, Learn and Live” concept unique from conventional logistics hubs and environments. Its eco-friendly initiatives have been encapsulated within three main segments: 

• Energy Performance: Using materials that enhance energy efficiency and conservation while reducing carbon footprint
• Water Efficiency: Using materials to manage and maximize the use of water consumption within the facility
• Environmentally Friendly Materials: Using materials that help to protect and conserve the environment 

The event was graced by Guest of Honour Mr Lawrence Wong, Minister for National Development, as he lauded exemplary achievements by the built environment industry. Also present were Mr Lee Fook Sun, Chairman of Building and Construction Authority (BCA), Mr Norman Ip, Deputy Chairman, BCA and Dr John Keung, CEO, BCA. Representing Supply Chain City™ was Henry Chua, Head of Facilities, and key vendors involved in the SCC Project.
