As part of a collaboration between SMU and Singtel, Mr James Ong, Head of Corporate Finance was invited to be part of a panel to discuss about the role of CFOs and VCs as business partners. Held at the POC Building on 25th February, the panel featured senior professionals from Reebonz, Sirius, Koda and Genting, looking at the evolving role of the CFO, and discussed metrics around accepting or rejecting investment opportunities.

James also participated in another panel discussion at the ACIA Forum held at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Singapore on 7th April. Aiming to promote the ASEAN Comprehensive Investment Agreement and improve the understanding of its provisions, the theme for this event was Regional Positioning of Singapore through ACIA.

The panel discussion looked at the experience of the Foreign Investors and Third-Country Business in Investing in Singapore and ASEAN. Attending the event were the business community, investors, chambers of commerce, academia and representatives from the public sector.
