Supporting the National SkillsFuture Movement to Develop the Next Generation

On 27th July 2015, YCH signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) to become more manpower-lean and build a stronger Singapore core, demonstrating our commitment towards the national SkillsFuture movement. Minister for Manpower Mr Lim Swee Say was the Guest-of-Honour for the signing ceremony.

The MOU covered five areas of collaboration, namely the SkillsFuture Earn and Learn Programme, Individual Learning Portfolio (ILP), SkillsFuture Credit, Industry and Enterprise-level Manpower Development Initiatives and promotion of Technology Solutions to Drive Enterprise Transformation.

Minister Lim Swee Say was also given a tour around the YCH facility, where he was introduced to Supply Chain City™, an integrated high-tech facility where YCH’s new corporate HQ would be located. Innovative technologies that would help to improve productivity and efficiency such as the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology and a centralized Control Tower monitoring regional operation were showcased during the tour. In addition to these technologies, other high-tech solutions such as drones and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) would be employed within Supply Chain City™ when the facility opens next year.

image1 The YCH60 logo is formed by the number ‘6’ and shi ‘十’, ten in Chinese, making up sixty, signifying six decades of supply chain excellence. The shadow of the combination represents the Chinese character sheng ‘升’ or RISE, YCH’s corporate philosophy.  The combination also resembles ye ‘叶’, the first character of our Chinese company name ‘叶水福’.
